Merula eco – The Merula Cup XL, even more ecological
Sustainability is of great importance to us and, thanks to your feedback, we want to leave an even greener footprint with the Merula Cup eco: The menstrual cup remains the same, made from certified medical-grade silicone and free of plasticizers. But what’s new?
The packaging: Has an exemplary model sustainability balance. It’s completely free from plastic materials, the carton (94 % recycled ingredients, 6 % grass ingredients) is FSC certified and even the label is made of grass paper. Thus, it’s not only recyclable but also compostable.
The instruction manual: We have forgone using additional paper, which is why you can find the instruction manual printed on the inside of the box.
The pouch: The pretty blue “Merula eco” flower decorates the pouch, which is made from organic cotton under fair working conditions in India and GOTS-certified.
Made in Germany: The Merula Cup itself as well as the entire packaging material are made in Germany.
The Merula Cup XL ice: The Merula Cup XL ice is completely free of dyes and made exclusively from pure medical-grade silicone. Its slightly velvety surface – which makes all Merula Cups especially smooth and easy to insert – gives this cup its unique ice effect. Enjoy greater peace of mind with the Merula Cup XL, as frequent hourly changes of tampons, pads, or lower-capacity menstrual cups become a thing of the past. With a capacity of 50 ml, the Merula Cup XL eco holds approximately as much as 2.5 of the largest commercially available tampons.
Like all Merula Cups, the Merula Cup XL eco is a one-size menstrual cup and differs from the standard Merula Cups only in its capacity. It is suitable for a medium to high cervix, any level of pelvic floor muscle tone, and very heavy menstrual flow.
